We Luv Dolls.com is dedicated to building a beautiful and complete online resource for the world of dolls. Many people think that doll collecting revolves solely around rare expensive porcelain or bisque dolls from Europe. Nothing could be further from the truth. The large majority of dolls purchased today are of the mass produced variety and although most of those dolls will never become valuable it would be foolish to dismiss all modern dolls as low quality and a ‘childs play thing’.

Several modern manufacturers produce with an unyielding eye towards quality. Madame Alexander might be the best known modern and American doll manufacturer and her items are all both valuable and prized. Although quality has a lot to do with a dolls fate as a collectible original value is not as big a factor. Keep in mind those 18th century French and Germany bisque dolls were once also ‘a childs plaything’. Even modern era dolls that were produced with care and taken care of with love can be quite collectible after just a few decades.

So with these thoughts in mind we try to cover a wide variety of dolls from the antique bisque to current vinyl and plastic dolls. Soon we will be enlarging our focus to dolls from around the world. People forget there is a strong tradition of doll making not just in western Europe and America but in Japan, China, Russia and places around the globe.
